Rain, At Last

It has been ages since it has rained. Although I do not like hot weather, this summer is bearable. Periods of heat alternate with what the weather people call "cold fronts" which usually bring rain and relief from the heat, at least for a day or two.

A little redbud, the seedling found last year in a friend's yard. I was told that it would probably not transplant and would die.

The Old Radiator

If you are mechanically inclined you can see two radiators, the large water-cooling one, and a smaller one, to cool the transmission fluid, piggy-backing on it. While the larger one had not failed, the fins on the bottom had been destroyed by the leak.

Old Blue

Old Blue needs a new radiator, she's leaking transmission fluid. Except for a few dings, she is in good condition, only 110,000 miles. Think she should last a few more years.

I like to collect vanity plates. Mostly, I scribble them down when I see them on a roll of adding tape that I keep on the dash of my car.
